Community Involvement

Beach to Beacon Race:

A group of Chest Medicine Associates employees, Maine Medical Center employees, patients, family and friends formed a team to run the Beach to Beacon 10k Road Race in Cape Elizabeth on August 1, 2009. The team raised about $1,000.00 for the MMC CF Center.

Cystic Fibrois is a debilitating and incurable disease that dramatically shortens the lifespan of those who have it. Our goal at Chest Medicine and MMC is to provide patients and families with comprehensive and compassionate care in a state-of-the-art facility. We also aim to raise awareness of the disease in the general community, serve as a local information resource, and conduct clinical research to improve the quality of care of CF patients.
